Hello! I am ConfuSomu, or Twilight Sparkle. I am a non-binary and transfeminine person. Ok, my gender is quite hard to decypher when you look into it. I speak French, English, and a bit of Polish, German and toki pona. I also know the basics of Spanish, Latin and Arabic. Right now, I am studying, but I like to do things outside of my studies. For instance, I like arts (in general), creating things with computers, reading books and playing the piano. Only when i have the time…

I also do some film photography. I started in summer 2024. The camera and the film that i use isn't anything special (a Minolta Zoom 70), but it does the job when you are starting out!

In terms of computers, I am interested by embedded systems, including microcontrollers (generally Atmel or RP2040), calculators (I have a small collection) and older game consoles (Nintendo DSi, 3DS, Wii). I try to favour low-power devices. It's fascinating to see how power-efficient when doing the same amount of work, modern hardware has become. I started "officially" using Linux on a Raspberry Pi 3B, then a Raspberry Pi 4B during covid lockdown. Currently, I use the KDE Plasma desktop environment on my Framework laptop, and am an enjoyer of open source stuff!

I like historical books (like Les rois maudits or, more recently, Tales of the Otori), more-or-less known anime (including the slice-of-life genre: Nichijou, the Pokémon anime, Stand Alone Complex: Ghost in the Shell), a few movies (like Les Visiteurs or Bon cop, bad cop), music (Vylet Pony!), a healthy variety of video games (platformers, rhythm games, Mario Kart, Zelda, Human Resource Machine, etc.). I am curious about languages (including Occitan) and the etymology of words (see La langue anglaise n'existe pas ("The English Language does not Exist") by Bernard Cerquiglini, a French linguist). I am also interested by urbanism and public transport.
